Our A-Z of 2020 Caching Tales

As a new year dawns, it’s time to look back at the past year...and what a year it’s been! I think most people will be glad to see the back of 2020!   But just before we wave goodbye, here’s a quick trip down memory lane...our A-Z of the highs and lows of our 2020 Caching Tales!  A is all about Adventure Labs.  We set our first ever AL series ‘Mildenhall Murder Mystery’. It’s a whodunnit taking in some key sights around the town. And if you solve the crime, there’s a difficulty 5 bonus cache up for grabs. B is for ‘Blown Over’.  A rather old virtual cache in Boscastle, which took nearly an hour to complete. I must have read several hundred bits of graffiti trying to find the correct initials & date needed. But it was great to fill another gap on our Jasmer Challenge grid. C is for  Covid...just joking! Cornwall part 2: It’s all about filling the terrain grid gaps

In this week’s Caching Tales we re-live the second half of our holiday adventures on the South West coast.   We start with a short drive to St Agnes to do a new series of adventure labs. They proved to be a really nice walk around the village taking in some less touristy features.  One of the locations was at a secret garden, which had been created on a little bit of waste land by an elderly local man. As we arrived we were a little surprised to find quite a large group of locals gardening and giving it a general tidy up.  It wasn’t long before I got chatting to some of them, and learnt more about the garden’s history and the man who created it. In return, I told them all about geocaching, and they all seemed really interested. Hopefully, we have some new recruits. After collecting a couple of traditionals, we headed out of the town to an old mining area, now a large wasteland covered in rubble.
